This is an annoying issue that I cannot seem to fix.
On the contact list in the speed dial menu photos show as cropped square sized. Which is what it lets you do when selecting a photo for a contact. Is there anyway to make the photo show in its entirety? In sms messages the photo appears the same. I realize that in messages the photo icon of the contact is limited to a square size but in the speed dial menu and the screen where you can edit photos for a contact it should be able to be shown in its entirety.

What I want to do is be able to select the entire image so it shows as it originally is. Is there someway that I can make the selection/cropping tool be able to resize beyond the bounds of the square? Or is there an app that can achieve this? Because the inbuilt function can't.
