My local EE store has just got a display HTC One. It's not powered so all you can do is judge the look and feel, and while these things tend to be personal I have to say I think the N4 looks and feels far nicer.
The reviews have made much of the aluminium body, but it doesn't feel like a unibody in the way that Macs have unibody aluminium cases. The phone has a plastic strip running round the edge so it looks more like two aluminium plates sandwiching a plastic body. Where the aluminium joins the plastic has been left quite angular. I'm sure this is deliberate design, but actually it gives the impression of being poorly finished.
Maybe the screen makes up for this; I couldn't tell because the display phone wasn't powered. However, placing my N4 and the HTC One side by side on the desk in the shop I'd be surprised if many people thought the HTC looked better.
