Nexus 5 and Nova Launcher

I used nova prime on my old s3 but never really bothered with it on my N5.
Is it worth installing? I don't use Google now so losing that isn't an issue

What are the pros and cons?

I use it, as I find the icons on the Google Experience Launcher (GEL) too large.

For me, Nova adds the customization options I want, so its a no brainer

I use it because of the backup feature, and the organized app drawer. If you don't care about these features, I don't see much reason to use it.

I use it because:

- I can increase the size of the icons
- easily change the icons
- have more icons per page
- have swipe gestures
- have not read notifications on apps
- remove the Google search bar
- have a vertically scrolling pageless apps drawer (the horizontal paged one is horrible)

As far as I can tell there are no cons. I don't understand the Google Now point, it's still there, you just access it in the old fashioned way, hold the home button and swipe up. I personally prefer it not taking up a home screen.

I use it too. I love how you can create tabs and separate apps by criteria you can decide yourself. The most recent versions allow you to have coloured tabs too, which I really like.

Also, the stock launcher's icon are too large and look bad. Here's an example:

I went back to it after using GEL for a couple of months.

The ability to customise icons, have unread message labels and gestures makes it still far ahead.

I use the drag up from the nav bar to activate Google Now like in the good old days. In fact I use AOKPs nav ring capabilities to have a couple more options alongside it.

I normally use Nova Prime. I'm currently enjoying GNL after coming back to the N5 but I imagine I will soon return to Nova Prime. There is always an icon that I don't like that I want to swap out.

I've been using Nova Prime for some time now. After trying several others I find Nova has the ideal feature set for me. Because I like to support developers I bought Prime, then after experiencing all it can do I'm glad I did.
