Hi all, I'm new to this forum. Apologies if this issue has been raised before, I have looked but the keywords are so popular for other issues or features I can't find my particular problem listed.
The problem I'm looking for advice on is - when I reboot my phone and get to the lock/security screen (where I enter my swipe to open the phone) it starts vibrating and the torch flashes on and off. It does this continuously until I unlock the phone. If I hit the power button to lock it again, then hit the power button once more to get back to the lock screen it will vibrate and flash all over again.
I have found that by unlocking the phone, turning on the torch and locking the phone (with torch on) will sort it out... but after a while the problem comes back.
It's extremely annoying and potentially embarrassing/damaging as it this happens whilst I'm in work it could reflect badly on me.
I've searched and searched for answers and tried everything I can think of but it doesn't seem to be an actual setting in the phone for this (not that I can find).
I'm running Nexus 5 with Lollipop 5.0.1, with Apex Pro launcher.
This problem started after doing a factory reset on the weekend. I did back use Helium to back-up and restore data.
I've also had a very similar issue with my LG G Pad 8.3 but that only seem to happen when I had a notification showing and that is running 4.4.2
I solved that one by removing the security feature, so it instantly unlocks. Not a great idea but it never leaves the home.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
THANKS!
