Nexus 7.1.1 Developer Preview

I just installed it last night and it went smoothly. No issues to report as of now. I'm still playing around with it but all seems well.

I've noticed the Do Not Disturb while on calls isn't perfect. When I hang up, sometimes it goes spastic and switches on and off a lot.

I also just lost my fingerprint scanner. I tried doing a cache wipe from recovery mode and literally nothing happened. Cache wipe from system didn't fix it either. I'll opt back out of beta and wait for the version to be ready for primetime (although that's debatable even when they're released).

I installed the OTA update last night. Everything seems to be working. Haven't really noticed any differences so far, though. I got updates for the camera and phone apps that seem to have a couple of minor tweaks in them but nothing wildly exciting.

Are there any cool new features I've missed?

I stayed on the developer preview and I finally got the final 7.1.1 OTA including the December Security Update last night.

I updated via the OTA a few days ago. All seemed OK but I decided to do a hard reset and start from scratch. It's not that big a deal if you're prepared for it. The reset went smoothly and the phone is working quite well. Very happy with 7.1.1 so far.
