Nexus 7.2 and Slimport

Anyone used their Nexus 7.2 with a Slimport adapter?

I purchased a Slimport adapter to use with my new N7.2 but when I connect it up to an hdmi port on my TV, I don't see any output. As far as I know there is no setup required, simply hook it up and the N7's output should be mirrored on the TV.

Does it work or not? Did I just get a defective adapter?

I've used a slimport on an N4, and it works just as you describe. Just connect it to the TV and it mirrors the display. Sadly I can't test my Slimport on an N7.2 until 13th September as it doesn't launch in the UK till then.
