My Nexus 7 32GB (2012) side microphone makes static noise. When in portrait mode, the tablet uses the top mic which works fine, but when in landscape mode it automatically switches to the side mic which produces a static noise. Does anyone else also have this issue? You can test yours with Hi-Q MP3 app which will switch mic during recording depending on the tablet's orientation.
