Nexus 7 32 g point of sale

I got an email from Surfacte RT this morning that they were taking orders for guaranteed delivery by Oct 26 if ordered today. Does Google or any of the retailers follow a similar procedure where we can order in advance of actual release

Microsoft will do this 'cause they have to. I for one will never forgive Microsoft for the weeks of my life I waisted on Vista's various screw-ups. Trust them on a system as different as this right on day one? NO WAY IN HELL. They could give them out for free and I wouldn't take one.

Best Buy has W8 PC's on display now and after playing with them for half an hour I fear for wellbeing of the earth. Just wait till the 32gb Nexus is available and save yourself from the pits of hell.

Note: Ok, maybe I'm going a little off the deep-end here but you get my point.

what I was asking about was if the Nexus will be able to be preordered like the Surface rt was today. There are many rumours that around the 24-26 of Oct the Nexus 7 will possibly go on sale and I was wondering if in the past one could order in advance of it being available from a re seller or Google.

When Google came out with Nexus 7, you could preorder it at the time. I'm not sure if you could preorder from a retail store though, but I think some stores were taking orders.

Same here. Ordered direct from Google. I think I got mine the day of release or next day. Very impressed.

I dunno. With all the gigs offered through Google Drive as well as using an OTB USB cable to access an external drive of some sort, space really isn't an issue. 32GB is nice, but if it's just the same 'ol N7 with more disk space, then I'm just content with what I have. Besides, it's always nice to have your stuff backed up on some virtual storage space or external source. Besides, if you're going to save that much stuff and/or work into your tablet where you need at least 32 gigs (realistically, about 28gigs usable), there's no excuse not to back up what you saved.

The online retailers I've seen selling it have it listed cheaper than the 16gb.

This is important for people who havent bought a nexus 7 yet and are looking to get it. I wouldn't expect anyone who already has it to buy another
