Help Nexus 7 5.02 issues

I recently installed Android 5.02 on my Nexus 7 and have several issues as a result. The tablet hangs up repeatedly and it takes up to a minute to open some apps. Then it freezes. Battery consumption also seems to be much higher than previously. Is there a simple fix or a way to uninstall it?

A factory reset is advisable after updating an operating system. My wife's crawled until a reset was done and it now works fine. Make sure you back up everything.

Absolutely! A factory reset has solved a tonne of issues with the Nexus 7 update (especially for the 2012 version).

Which one do you own? The 2012 or 2013 version.

I have the 2012. I did the reset and now it is in 'restore' mode. It's been doing this for 20 minutes or more. I disconnected the battery and started again with the same result. Ideas??

Hi

After a factory reset it can take much longer than 20 mins to complete the reinstall of all the apps etc. Plug it in, and reset just before bed! A factory reset solved these same issues on my Nexus 7 2012.

(By "disconnected the battery" I assume you mean you turned it off?)
