nexus 7 charges really slow PLZ HELP?!

I have had my asus nexus 7 (gen1) for a few months now and ive bin very happy with it but lately its bin charging very slow for example i left it for just over 7 hours turnd off at 3% and it was on 44% after 7 hour charge so only it only charged 40% ---- has anyone els had this problem ? A solution would be appreciated thanks

Ensure you're using the original charging cable. I know mine takes a long time (12hrs) to completely charge. Just plug it in at night when you go to bed and you're set.

FWIW, the stock charging block's output is 5 volts, 2 amps

I totally agree with this. If I use the charger that came with my phone to charge my nexus 7 it will actually continue to die while I use it. The charges that came with it is the only one powerful enough to charge it while in use.
