Nexus 7 Mail Problem

I have a 1 year old Asus Nexus 7 running Kit Kat.
I have 4 mail accounts and until today they have been on good behavior.
Today I found that the Inbox of one account (Tiscali) is only showing the last email received.
The missing emails are not in any other folder.
On my W7 laptop all the emails are in the Inbox (about 40)
Any advice would be welcome

Remove the Tiscali account. Add a new account with the Tiscali information.
