Help nexus 7 nexus 9 tablets

i reset my nexus 7 and nexus 9 tablets both .wi-fi . and now i cant set them up . both are stuck at checking connections . the reason i reset is because i couldn't access the play store or use any thing i downloaded from the play store . i could use the stock app i could go online but not on play store ( i returned the nexus 9 to google thinking its a connection problem ) with mine HTC 8 i have no problem gitting on the play store with wi-fi i have already wiped cache by press power button and down volume google support hasnt helped at all . any help who be appreciated. i know its weird

The only things I can think of are rebooting your router and making sure the devices have permissions to use the network. What security are you using on the router? WPA?

WPA . I tried them on a different network and still i git wifi but cant set up my tablet git a message that say sorry something went wrong try again . now its starting to happen to my friends samsung 4 phone they cant access the play store thru wi-fi
