Nexus 7 Stuffing up after failed software update

My brand new Nexus 7 had failed a software update due to Internet shutting down and making my Nexus 7 turn off. My internet soon came back up but when I turned my device on again, it stayed as the glowing 'x' for about an hour.

I've tried rebooting my Nexus 7 but nothing seemed to work.
