Nexus 7 v. Samsung 10.1: Which works right out of the box?

Hi there! I'm sure you have probably had this topic before, and I did look, but didn't find it. I have had a problem with finding a tablet which is already set up, and I won't have to do anything.:) I am not familiar with these things, and I have spent a lot of money getting all types of equipment that I was told was needed, then, when that doesn't solve my problem with connecting to the internet I get, "Oh, so sorry, you ALSO need this or that". I am looking at the Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. Is there a tablet available for inexperienced people like myself? I would like to be able to check messages, connect to the internet when I am not home. Thank you in advance for any information you provide.

Connecting to the internet without WiFi will require a data plan.

With that said, both tablets will work right out of the box. There's a 3g version available for the nexus 7, not sure about the galaxy tab

You're talking about a cell phone payment plan? OK. This, too, is uncharted territory for me; I'm deaf and missed the whole cell phone era!:D

If you aren't going to use WiFi, the internet connection has to come from somewhere, and you'll need to pay for that data.
