So my phone broke and I found my old Nexus 7 tablet and I plugged it in, hoping it would work and that I would at least have that to use as a backup. After leaving it plugged in for a while, it turned on, but turned immediately off. I let it charge for about an hour after I reset it to factory settings (because it had a password that I didn't remember). Now, its turned on and at the welcome screen, but for some reason absolutely NOTHING happens when I touch it. it lets me touch the scrolling language options, it lets me touch literally everywhere else on the screen except the big white arrow! I am stuck at the welcome screen and I have absolutely no idea what to do. Any and all advice is appreciated, thanks.

Help Nexus 7 weird welcome screen issue?

Update; turned my screen sideways and turns out the bottom portion of my screen is just completely unresponsive. How do I fix this? Should I see if the ribbon cable is in all the way? Also, is their any good youtube tutorials that will show how to take apart the tablet without damaging it? Thanks.
