I'm using the first gen Nexus 7, 3 days ago I let it charge overnight when I woke up I saw that it didn't charge, so I took it of the charger and put it back on but it didn't charge and my Nexus 7 ended up dying. And now when I plug my Nexus 7 up to charge it doesn't also when I hold the power button down the battery/charging icon shows up empty and then the longer I hold it it comes up the same. Iv'e already tried holding the volume button down with the power button but the battery/charging icon still shows up empty. I just need to know if this is the tablet or the battery and how much it will cost to get the battery changed. I just want my tablet turned on with all my info still on. Thanks in advanced...

Hello and welcome to AF,

For your charging problem ill suggest you to try the following one by one till you solve your problem:

1- Try a new or different USB cable
1- Clean your Device USB port.
2- Try a new or different battery.

If none of the above worked, then i would say your USB port is damage and needs repair, even though it doesn't look damage from the outside.

I hope this answer has assisted you with your issue! Please note that if you have any questions you can easily resubmit another question using the same
