Help nexus crashing multiple times today

Today my rooted nexus has crashed several times both playing games and web browsing. Seemingly a precursor to the crashes is that the screen seems to have areas of non responsiveness almost as if I am not touching the screen in the right spots.

Any ideas of what old be happening?

Also..when it crashes it generates a text and a PNG and I mail them to my account at gmail.

Well, I had an idea and I uninstalled the free AVG antivirus and I installed the free AVAST antivirus an I have been without any crashes for 10 hours so far. All the games including dead trigger are running well.
