I'm running completely stock 5.1.1 all updates and stock texting app Hangout on AT&T.
The issue is often I will get blank mms. After a lot of guessing and testing with my friends phones, we have narrow the problem down to Nexus randomly cannot view screenshots from my friends stock Samsungs (various models). So I can correctly receive mms as group text and picture texts, but it will usually fail receiving screenshots through mms meaning my friends took screenshots on their samsung and text me.
Trust me we tested several combinations of carriers, rooted/unrooted, different roms, different mms limit size, different texting apps, etc... Completely clueless as what causes this problem and I highly doubt Google will find a solution.

I use his work-around, which is fine but annoying.
Does anyone that is super technical actual have a solution not just a work-around?
