Nexus to S3 - question about resale and sims

I have 2 lines and one is eligible for an upgrade. The other line purchased the Galaxy Nexus in December. I want the new S3 and can switch lines to get subsidized price.

When I do that, my wife will keep an old HTC DInc on her line, I will have the new S3.....can I then sell the Galaxy Nexus on eBay? Does it have a "clean ESN"?

Do I need to transfer SIM cards between phones?

yes you can sell it then. They'll more than likely send you a new sim card for the S3. Why not give your wife the G Nex :)

I assume I would get a new SIM.

My biggest gripe with the GNex is the weak radios - both wifi and 3g. I hate not being able to get a signal when everyone else around me has one.

I got the HTC Droid Inc on the day it came out and used it for 2 years. She has had it for a year and it is still better than my GNEX. It doesn't have bells and whistles but its perfect for her.

Yes once you deactivate it, and replace it with another active phone. The Gnex will have a clean esn and be ready for resale.

I have a similar question. My wife upgraded to the S3, but she has the iphone4. I have the Tbolt currently, an will replace it with the S3. When the phone comes, can i just activate it on my Tbolt account, or will VZ block it thinking the phone has been stolen when my wife don't activate it on her account? Also, don't the sims pretty much stay with the phone on VZ LTE network, unlike ATT where you can move the sim from phone to phone.

The galaxy s3 will ship with its own 4g sim. You can activate it on your line, no VZ won't block it thinking its stolen. you can activate any phone on any line.

I have the Galaxy Nexus and when I preordered the GS3 online, it asked me if I wanted to keep my sin (I said yes). So I'm assuming I'll just take the sim out of my Gnex and put it in the GS3? I would imagine if you are selling the phone, you wouldn't leave the sim in there anyway since anyone buying it would need a new sim.

I too am hoping the GS3 has a better radio/antenna than the Gnex. It really can't be any worse!
