Nexus5 (2015) Mobile by LG

No release date yet.

But they're usually released end of oct/start of november, but demand usually outweighs availability with a new nexus realese and most people get theirs in january :/
 
I didn't know that the LG Nexus 5 was being re-released. I got mine nearly two years ago. Is the new one exactly the same model? If so, I can understand it, as mine has been great all this time.
I'm assuming that the new one will come with Marshmallow.

Different internals and externals.
 
It's a 5" (well, 5.2" by all accounts) Nexus phone, the new Nexus 6" is the Nexus 6, the 1st and 2nd gen Nexus 7 both had the same name etc.
 
Is there any update on the release date? I see some sources saying the announcement is on the 29th and some saying the launch is on the 29th, which is confusing because I'd interpret "launch" to mean the phone is available for purchase. I'm looking to replace a friend's HTC One M7 that doesn't get service, and I want to know if waiting for the new N5 is a viable option or not. They could maybe make the 29th, but if its mid-October or later it's probably a no go, so it'd be nice to know for sure.
 
Wait until the 29th and you'll know more.
There is far too much speculation out there for anyone other than Google/LG insiders.
