NFC Payment Services

I've read quite a bit about the rise of NFC over the past year or two, as well as how the major players are jumping on the bandwagon. Google, Apple, Visa, Mastercard, Citi, Paypal, etc

Brief Video of Google Wallet here...

There are obviously still a number of issues to work out with these services.. getting retailers to buy in, security, and of course what you do if your phone dies. Per norm cities like San Francisco and New York are getting the offering before us Southern Boys (Dallas). I'm intrigued to know if any of y'all have Google Wallet, or a similar service, and your impressions having used it for awhile... what do you like about it, what are the issues you've noticed, and your frequency of use for it.

I'm more excited about the non-payment related applications. Zero config ad-hoc networking, zero-config bluetooth, etc.

As for payment though: From what I understand, it's as secure as, or more-so than a 12 digit number or plastic card with a magnetic strip :)
