Nfl app updated. Videos and nfl network no longer free.

They just sent out an update and yep you guessed it, verizon is now charging for videos and nfl network. It's now part of the vcast, ten dollar a month package. Sure they said they were going to do this a while back but it still amazes me they find every chance to charge for something. I have a year left on contact and I will seriously look at other providers. Does anyone else see this as being a little frustrating.

Like you said they said they were going to start charging for it. It is premium content per vzw. Had they said it would always be free then change stance that would be different. Your complaint is a kin to saying I had a free trial to an online game when it expired they expected me to pay to keep playing

Are you willing to pay an extra ten a month? There is a bigger picture here. I never look for a handout and it was nice to have it while I did. But there is so much "take" and when it's all said and done only the tease of "give" with verizon. That being said, have you seen the streaming on vcast, it's mediocre at best on wifi. 3g forget about it!

There is no way I would pay $10 for vcast. I don't even understand why it is available on android I always thought it was vzw's entertainment portal for dumb/feature phones. The videos on the nfl app were high quality from what I watched and it costs vzw licensing fees to rebroadcast the videos They mostly ate the cost for the 2010-2011 season and now want to start passing the fees to the consumer
