nil signal while browsing on android pc

mine is generic android tablet 4.0.4 ics. internet browsing on 2g becomes nil & show not signal bars. Have to switch of & start. again shows some signals browsing at speed of only 5 to 10 kbs. reason. tried all the networks. fault with tablet? 512 mb & 1gb processor.
