NiLs and custom lock screen draining battery and overheating

manu

Newbie
I just recently got rid of the standard lock screen widget for my galaxy s5 and replaced it with a new one called ClockQ. I also installed NiLs so that I can get notifications on my lock screen. I've noticed that ever since doing this my phone has been overheating, losing battery life quickly and has began to lag. I was wondering if any other s5 users have experienced something similar or if someone can provide an explation. Also, how do I get back the original samsung lock screen widget?

One possible alternative is to use the Nova Launcher app.

The benefit to doing so is that it has the ability to back up your home screens so you won't have to rebuild your phone if you are ever forced to do a Factory Reset.
