No Android Runtime?

As near as I can tell, Android Runtime is not available on the Tab Pro, even though we do have Android 4.4.2, which would suggest that we are supposed to have it.

We're stuck with Dalvik.

Apparently Samsung disabled it/didn't include it?

ART isn't available on all devices, even Google devices, presumably because of hardware differences. For example my stock Nexus 4 (4.4.4) has ART available as an option but my Nexus 7 does not - even though both have the same Android version.

It's annoying, but it probably isn't really a Samsung thing.

The nexus 7 2013 has art, you must have the 2012 edition?

Yes, I have the original N7.

My point was the N4 and N7 were updated at the same time to the same version yet only the N4 has ART. ART works fine on the N7 (several ROMS use it) but the stock ROM doesn't include it for some reason.
