NO AUDIO NAVIGATION

When I was traveling yesterday, following my map, I had no audio of the directions. Im not sure if it was because it was paired with what I was driving but it didn't come out of the speakers either. I don't think this phone has an app that detects that you're moving and silences your phone. TYIA for your help.

No, the phone does not silence itself when it detects motion (which could really only be done via cell handovers or GPS - an accelerometer detects acceleration, but not steady motion).

I can only guess as to why you had no audio output. The audio being routed through another device (bluetooth or wired) that was not itself outputting does seem a possible explanation. Otherwise all I can think of is the volume being turned off on the phone, or navigation mode not being engaged (though that last would be very obvious to you, so seems unlikely).

If you were using Maps, I just tested by telling mine to navigate me to work (while sitting in my living room) and it started speaking almost immediately, didn't wait for me to start moving.

I tried the same thing sitting in the living room to navigate me to work and my volume worked. It must have been because it was synced with the vehicle and the volume on the radio wasn't up. I didn't have time when it happened to figure it out on the spot.

Now it's occasionally - too often - where all sounds just randomly are not making sounds. Everything is turned up to the highest but there will be no text sound, phone ringing, facebook notification I have restart the phone for the sounds to come back. I haven't installed anything different but it's been doing it since the last update,
