No audio notifications for texts

Ugh, I’m noticing that today I’m not getting audio notifications when someone texts me.

Which settings should I look at?
I want to “messaging” settings. Show as pop up, preview new message are all turned on. Both SIM cards show “crystal”as my choice of sound. Vibrate is “always”

Anywhere else I need to check.

No audio notifications

Try going to Settings>Sounds and cranking Notifications all the way up.

A few other places to look ... go to settings>sound & notification>apps and look for your messaging app. Tap it and see if you have it silenced. Also make sure you have DO NOT DISTURB off , and you have messages set as a priority app.

Finally, make sure the sound "crystal" actually plays and hasn't been corrupted.

I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a gesture to silence notifications. Try waving it wildly over your head while jumping on one foot ... and it's best to do this in a public place, like church.

This is the function of the mobile phone, it is easy to change on the setting

Android phones have soooooooooo many settings etc. It’s quite mind numbing. I’m in the midst of messing around with nova launcher . At this point maybe a bit over my head.

I'm retty sure Nova Launcher doesn't mess with audio but if you group apps together on your home screen you can change the shape of the folder... But that's for a different thread.
