No audio on video playback

Just got a Droid Incredible and love the phone so far. I have a problem however playing back video that I recorded. The video comes out fine but there is no audio track. Same happens when I play back on my PC. I have read some forum posts that were similar but none of the solutions offered have worked for me. I have done the following:

  • Played back on phone, WMP, VLC and Quicktime
  • Downloaded ffdshow and CCCP codec packs
  • Converted the 3gp to AVI and MPEG formats
None of these made and difference. These videos are pretty important to me and I am getting pretty frustrated. If anyone has any other solutions I would love to hear them.

Thanks, Nick

download MediaInfo on your pc. Open the original file in that, then switch to Tree view, then paste the results here. Are you sure you have the "record with audio" option checked in the camcorder settings? It's on by default, so it should be unless you changed it.

The record with audio option is set to "on". Here are the results from MediaInfo:

Thats the standard android audio. VLC and Quicktime should have no problem playing them. You may have too many codecs installed on your computer. Try gettin rid of any codec packs you may have installed.

Already did that as well. The audio won't even play on my phone. I'm completely lost. I have scoured multiple forums and tried every suggestion. I guess multiple people have had this problem but they all had one of the fixes work.
