No "BLOCK" Option for Spam Texts?

Some of my Text messages that are Spam don't have a block option and they don't have the option to reply with 'stop'. There's no way to make them stop! Does Anyone else have this problem?

Using Google Messenges (whatever they call it now) and I get an option. But I think it is powered by Verizon, the spam blocking part at least.

If Verizon has a spam-blocking part, I'm not getting it. Not a day goes by that I'm not getting texts from Donald Trump, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell or some other high-powered official asking for my support! I had no idea I was so sought out in the halls of power throughout our nation's capitol!

Hmm, I got get spam texts, but wife does. I see her doing spam reporting/blocking. It seems to be a verizon powered service, but it's vie google messages on her pixel 4

You get Robocalls on your mobile too, @The_Chief? Are they in a language you understand?

You bet I do! The robo-recordings are in plain English: Marriott resort vacation; extended car warranty; computer repair refund; and, of course, Microsoft tech support. They use disposable "burn" numbers so it's impossible to block them. Once I punch through to a live human being (I DO love messing with those idiots), that's when the language thing gets to be a bit of a challenge...

I've only gotten Asian language Robocalls so far and they are not as regular as they used to be. The numbers making the calls seem to change every time but they have my local area code.
This doesn't really address your problem but it is interesting that they have diminished. Maybe the FCC finally did something right.

I only receive spam texts rarely. I have no idea if Verizon is blocking them or if I'm just not worthy of spamming. :) I've never checked to see if I have the option to block such texts. If I were plagued by such and had no blocking option, a full featured text app would be employed.

I get very few robo-calls but I block them as they are received. My mail box seems to be the most popular way to annoy me. Though I'm not over run with spam, I do receive a few emails a day which I do ask to be removed from their list.

You'd need to go to your Verizon account and look for "Manage products and apps" under "My Devices". Look for Call Filter.
I've got the basic (Free) version and rarely get any kind of spam.

Apparently Verizon doesn't want to offer us the free version: the only option available is the $2.99/mo version, which I've used before with pitiful results. Besides: the Note 10+ is NOT compatible with it.
