No data 2 days after after flashing samsung s2 epic 4g to metropcs

I had Samsung S2 Epic 4g flashed from Sprint to MetroPCS, the data was working fine for 2 days then it wouldn't connect period! Kept getting, error75: cannot connect to server/network. Cannot use anything that requires data, will connect to wifi but doesn't connect to anything. Also looks like when turn on data or 4g it goes on but cannot establlsh network connection, get error 75....
The only thing that I did after flash was a factory reset because battery only lasted 1 hour on full charge! Now battery life good but no data, no apps needing network connection, when try to do anything it opens Google accounts page when try new or existing account says it is signing in but never connects after 10 minutes of waiting. What the hell do I do to get data back? It cost me $50 to have flashed remotely now had to switch back to crappy cell had prior, can I fix or am I going to have to pay more $ just to get data back? PLEASE, CAN ANYBODY HELP ME OUT AND TELL ME HOW OR WHAT TO DO FIX??!!

Well 4g deff wont work the s2 is a wimax device. Metro never supported wimax service. Flashing a cdma phone was always hit or miss with metro to get data working period and now that there shutting down the cdma network its even more so. Doin the reset prolly erased the data settings.

Well if there isnt any 4g then why did I and still do have a 4g icon on the bar at top and a switch for 4g in settings then? I have SPH-0710 EPIC S2 4G TOUCH... So why do I still have call and text then? Everytime I attempt to use most apps it takes me to Google accounts page? Can somebody direct me on what next to fix, or a link to give step by step info on fixing data?

Because the wimax radio is on. All sprint wimax phones did that. I know what model it is i had the exact same phone on sprint. I was never in a wimax area and my 4g icon turned on to. Trust me you never ever had wimax service on metro pcs. Calls and text go thru the cdma network and have zero to do with 4g data. Thats controlled by your prl which was permantly flashed to metro pcs. I can gaurentee that you cant send or recieve pic messages though. Thats data. Google the data settings for metro pcs and how to instructions for cdma phones. They should all be similar on how to program. But within the next few months your gonna need to change phones anyway the cdma network will be shut down and the phone wont work at all. You tube it there should be something there. Again it doesnt have to be for your specific model programming every phone is pretty similar.

Ok so wt hell do I do to fix this? All I know is I was told to not updae phone and all I know is I HAD DATA NOW I DONT HAVE ANY NETWORK CONNECTIONS & NEED TO FIX IT!!!! HOW OR WHETE CAN GO TO GET INFO ON CORRECTING ISSUE MYSELF???? PLZ NEED IT FIXED LIKE YESTERDAY!"!!

When you do get it fixed do a speed test with the 4g turned on then do one with it turned off. Youll notice they will be exactly the same. Im sure your data was painfully slow. Most places dont even have 3g cdma service so its basically 1x data which is slower than 2g. Even if you do pick up 3g metros evdo network was never anything amazing. With the deals there offering now it really is better to buy a new metro phone than flash an older cdma model over. Not being a downer just being honest. I really cant believe people are still charging people money to flash over cdma phones. Its not worth paying for. It rarely worked right in the past and its a waste of money to do now. Like i said you tube search metro pcs cdma data programming on android phones. Thats your best option. Im sure theres an older video on there of someone doing it. If you were told not to update it why did you factory reset it lol yelling in here really isnt the best option of something you screwed up when you were told not to do something. Cmon now. Google it. Best advice i can give.

If i remember correctly you need cdma workshop and qpst programs on your computer. Thats really all i remember. Its not as easy as just "fixing it now". Like i been tryin to tell you its a royal pain in the a$$ and more often than not people end up bricking there phone. Your best bet is to jump on one of there cheap or free phone deals and stop messing with flashing old phones. I hope you fix it and get it figured out.

Sorry easnt trying to yell...was not awate cap lock eas on! My bad, I apologize for dat. So basically what u saying is that all cell phones will be w/sim card on gsm or what? I was with at&t and had Samsung Captivate Glide, but my Mother lost my cell and had to unfortunately switch carriers to prepay....loved the Captivate!!!! Guess I will begin looking for new cell and will do better research in future if buying used cell phones before buying!!!! Thanks for your honesty, wished would've been before I spent $80 on cell and another $50 on flash....my ignorance isn't bliss!?!?!

Its cool trust me i understand the frustration. Wish it was something simple as just punching a code into your phone and thats it. Like i said i cant believe people are still taking peoples money flashing cdma phones. The person who did it should of been honest about it to you.

One thing to try for a short term solution is take it back to the person who flashed it. Dont tell them you reset it and that data just stopped. They may do it again for you.

Holy cow, you spent 80 bucks on that POS of a phone? i got one at launch for sprint and i hated it. Doing a factory reset shouldnt have messed with your settings though, doing an update or flashing stock definitely would have though. Samsung Epic 4g Touch MetroPCS Flash Guide - xda-developers

that will get ya working back with 3g for now, just keep in mind that the MetroPCS CDMA network is shutting down and thus the phone will be utterly useless. my suggestion would be to sell that as soon as possible to try and recoup any bit of money you can, its not going to be 80 bucks though. a sprint SGS3 goes for about 120 and a SGS1 goes for about 30, factor in that that device is probably blacklisted from sprint and that will drop its value down considerably.

I didn't wanna rub salt in the wound, i was surprised at the price he paid as well for the device, i bought an unlocked mytouch 4g slide for like 60 , and a droid three for 15 gsm networking and all..but i understand the rush for a new phone since homelines are becoming a thing of the past

It wasn't an awful device for its time. I still think it was the second best s2 released behind att's skyrocket. The regular att s2 was garbage and t mobiles version lagged like crazy with the s3 processor. I still think that was the worst processor Qualcomm ever made. God it would stutter and lag around. I can't think of one phone that ran the s3 processor that ran smoothly. I know the skyrocket had the s3 chipset in it to but it had lte. That's the only reason I say it was better than the epic touch.

I devved for teh e4gt and helped root it originally and i hated kernels on it, i hated cm on it and i hated the stupid superbrick crap.

Well yea for devs the exynos processor has never been friendly so I can can see why you'd hate it lol
