no data while on phone

Simultaneous voice/data is a given on GSM networks & on only a select few CDMA handsets (SPRINT/VERIZON).
The SPRINT Samsung S3 & HTC EVO 4G LTE had the capability (SVLTE).
If you're on SPRINT,I believe their SPARK LTE technology breaks (lack for a better term) SVLTE.
More or less the same on VZW,less the SPARK technology, but,I believe, lacks the hardware/technology for SVLTE.
So much for progress......

Did you change carrier when you changed phone? AFAIK with CDMA networks, they can't do phone calls and data simultaneously. What carrier are you on?

I'm almost positive VZW handsets lack SVLTE capabilities.
Not sure if simultaneous WI-FI/voice is possible on CDMA devices, been over two years since I was on a CDMA network (SPRINT).

Hopefully, others on VZW will chime in,or,maybe pose a question/check out the VZW forum......

Missed that on the VZW M7,my mistake.
Yeah,to say I'd be disappointed if in your shoes would be an understatement.

I've never had service w/VZW,so,I'll defer to those who have,on hopes of shedding some light on the latest w/VZW & SVLTE......
