No incoming caller number displayed

Upgraded to the s61 running Android 8.1 when receiving calls each one comes displayed with unknown.
I have spent hours trawling through the web to get advice, but still no change..
Not impressed with something that should be default.
My network is Vodafone
Caller ID worked on my S60
So must be this phone.
Anyone with the same issue?

Did you happen to look at your contacts app? Are there any in there?

I merged your three threads, so you can get a discussion / answer in one place. It is most likely a carrier issue, so I left the Vodaphone thread. Since it could have happily existed in any of the three places you originally posted I left links to this thread in each place.

IF the caller has caller ID disabled, unknown will be displayed...
