No iPhone for Verizon...for a while

So it could still come before 2012, hopefully not but you never know. I think apple fanboys say stuff like what I quoted just to try and get people to hold off on buying new android phones.
 
thank god. Apple makes me sick. Their products are mediocre at best.

The last thing I needed in my life was Verapple running my bank account.
 
I don't like a lot of their company ideals but Apple makes some decent products and I've owned several of them.Say what you want about Apple but at the end of the day competition drives innovation. If it wasn't for the iPhone, Android wouldn't be what it is today IMO.

Also fanboyism for any company is pointless. I mean... really? Companies want your money, not to be your friend.
 
I heard from a Verizon reseller that he was pretty confident VZ would see an Apple device this Summer. But it will likely be "4G" and VZ has barely begun to build out infrastructure. So the Apple device won't be very interesting for a couple of years. I think the contractual issue is about iPhone with AT&T. So if Apple releases a different device VZ can sell them. Supposedly?

Agreed. The iPhone was the only top of the line thing I have ever seen Apple make, and at least for now, it no longer is:) Creative Zens are better than iPod ( I don't really know what to classify the touch as though...it's really an iPhone that isn't a phone...odd ball there. ) Their computers have always been pretty blech. The macbook pro is a joke (this space was going to explain why I think that..but after 2 paragraphs I decided that was a bit much, lol. PM me if you really wanna hear about the macbooks problems.)

Apple is the single most monopolistic, greedy and evil corporation out there. They make Microsoft look like they are run by Ma and Pa. ( and I fairly hate Microsoft too. )
 
This is actually my first smart phone so I am new to Android and HTC.

I dislike Apple for many reasons - I'll name 1:

-They used to be an honest tech company and they've morphed into extremely greedy monopolizing pigs that make Microsoft look like the Easter Bunny -- and no one seems to be catching on.

McDonalds markets and sells just as much - does that mean they have good food? It may be tasty, but what happens when you eat it every day? :p
 
You guys make good points...but we're all supporters of Google. Anndd, they are pretty swiftly also becoming kind of monopolistic.

If you think Creative Zen's are better than the iPod touch, try a Cowon S9 or the new J3. Cowon's mop the floor all day, everyday compared to every MP3 player that I have ever tried. And that includes anything made by Creative.
 
I really didn't intend for this thread to become an "Apple bashing" outlet, God knows there are plenty of those out there already. I just think the dealings at corporate level are interesting to say the least!
 
The sooner the iPhone comes to Verizon the better. Then the whole "Android is gaining because the iPhone is on AT&T" crap can be stopped. It will get a spike and then be forgotten for the coming Android devices and you'll see them on BOGO deals unless Apple doesn't allow it in the contract. Who knows....maybe thats why its not on V now. Verizon doesn't need Apple and is probably gonna treat the iPhone like any other phone. Apple probably won't have that. And now with Android skyrocketing Verizon is put even further into the drivers seat. If the iPhone comes to Verizon it will be on Verizon's terms I bet.
 
no big deal. at&t is a fine service provider as it is, so the group that enjoys their restrictive phone can just go to the same provider they always did. Sure, it would have boosted Apple sales to get the phone on Verizon, but let them shoot themselves in the foot. it'll just give Android the opportunity to get ahead.

I actually stopped using MP3 players some time ago though:) Phones now a days are more than enough MP3 player for me ( course, I'm not a huge music person either. I've got all said and done like 8 gigs of music. )

Sorry, just sort of the natural progression of things:) Anytime anything is mentioned that has the slightest relevance to Apple, both Apple fanbois and haters will come out from under the bridge. ( yes, I am in the second one. I don't deny this...at least I can back up what I say with facts though. )
