Help No Items for Backup

Hello,
I'm trying to back up my Galaxy S i896 with Kies, but no items are shown for backup.

Any help is appreciated.

p.s. basically, Kies can see my phone and identify it, but it doesn't see any data to backup.

It's the Samsung Syncing/Updating software.

I chuckled at your response since this is the Galaxy S forum (I had to double check that I posted in the right spot). But, I do appreciate anyone that took the time to read my post.

I called Samsung and they did nothing. Basically said if you can't use the Backup tab in Kies, then use the Import/Export tab. That didn't work so they said you can also back up the phone to your SD card.

"Well why wouldn't Kies work?"

"I'm not sure, but here is a reference number if you have any other questions."

"Would you say that you were completely satified with the service you received?"

"No. I would say I'm satisfied with the service [he *was* nice]. But, not with the outcome."
