No link to phone number on sms

Hi all! I'm trying to figure out how I can click on a phone number sent via sms and open the phone dialer (a bit like when younget a www link or email address) thanks in advance

What app do you use for SMS messages? I think the default message app does this automatically.

Sometimes the sender might not have formatted the phone number correctly, and so isn't recognized as a phone number by the SMS app, e.g. they used too many spaces or spaces in the wrong place. Phone number formatting is very country specific of course.

e.g. China, 0531 12345678, 010-12345678, 12345678901, 123 4567 8901. Hong Kong, 1234 5678

I'm using the default txt messnger app and the format is correct i.e. 123456788
