Help No multi touch?

So I saw on the full specs of this phone at Huawei U8650 Sonic - Full phone specifications and it says this phone has multitouch.
I also watched a video of someone having multi touch but I don't seem to have it on my stock 2.3.4. Is it just me or is this a problem with the Sonic itself?

Download a mutitouch tester from the market. Sonic has multitouch (up to 2 fingers).

*Edit* got it working by using a custom rom by Zad. It's on 2.3.3 so it must be something with the 2.3.4 rom.

*edit* Found the problem. My stock 2.3.4 was missing android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.xml. unlike all these other roms i've been using that had it.
