Help No old SMS messages after switching to S5?

I just switched from a Galaxy Nexus. My SIM card set up the phone, but my text messages didn't show up. I have used SMS Backup+ for a long time. I used the "restore" function and it took a long time to load like 17,000 messages, but I don't see the messages anywhere. I tried the restore twice.

My main SMS app is Hangouts. The old Gchat Hangout messages are there, but no old texts.

Am I missing something?

yeah mine didnt show up either when I used SMS backup from my old S3 to my S5. But I used Samsungs Smart Switch and they all showed up. Give that a shot

Weird it says from Android to Samsung on the app? I thought it worked for any Android phone.
