antikryst

Newbie
just got a galaxy spica... im also in the phiippines. i cant see paid apps. any ideas?

i cant even download flixter via flixter.com or the marketplace.

is the store country dependent or carrier dependent? didnt get my phone from my carrier but its an official samsung philippines unit.

Android Market: Wikipedia - the Phillipines haven't gotten paid apps yet. There are a couple of ways around it. You could put in a sim-card from a country that does have paid apps, download your apps over WiFi, then put your own sim-card back in. Or you could root your phone and then install the MarketEnabler app from the Market

my friend on the same mobile provider has access to paid apps. shes using an htc magic given by the phone company. could it be because im not using a phone provided by my telco?

tried via 3g and wifi.. no go.

That's odd. Has she done either of the things I mentioned in the previous posts? Could there be a US sim card in her phone? I don't think she should be able to see paid apps otherwise

shes not techie at all... ill verify and check her phone. yeah either the place where she had her phone updated (firmware) may have done something... or she is mistaken.

Same thing here, I can only use Wifi with my Desire 2.2 since I am in a deployed location. The paid apps were showing up 2 months ago but now they have disappeared. The IP address is showing the UK as the country of origin
