No Pandora (or any app) on Lock Screen

Did Marshmallow disable apps from being shown on the lock screen? I used to be able to skip songs and shut off Pandora right from the lock screen. Now I have to unlock the phone and go into the app just to skip a song. Is this an actual planned update or is my phone messed up.

Note: It's not just Pandora, my Podcast app has the same problem.

What type of security (Swipe, pattern PIN, Password, None, Fingerprint) do you have on your phone?
I don't use Pandora much, but there's a lock screen control for Audible on mine.

I believe one of the options when you set up security (at least the fingerprint scanner) is what notifications you set up on your lock screen. If you're having issues, try resetting your thumbprint scanner and looking carefully at the notification options that show on the lock screen.
