Help No Photo recovery software connecting to S5.

Hi

I'm trying to recover some photos I recently deleted in error. I've installed 3 different programs and enabled debugging mode, connected as MTP device and tried different USB cables and ports and computers. Funny thing is my wife has an S5 and she has the exact same results. My PC detects the device, but these programs don't or at least fail 3/4's of the way through analysing the phone.

Any advice appreciated.

If they were on the removable card then remove it, stick it in a card reader and you can use any old file recovery software (Recuva is often recommended for Windows).

If on internal storage I don't know a solution. MTP doesn't offer the sort of access you need for this.
