No Pics From Emails

I recently purchased a LG Optimus Net phone for my daughter,she is having trouble open a picture in her email and she cannot send a picture either, we are on strictly wifi as she is on a pay as you go plan ,so just want to know is it the phone or the fact that she is pay as you go?
She does receive pictures through Faceboof and Twitter just not email,she is using GMAIL as her email provider?

Are you talking about the Email app? or you are surfing Gmail through default web browser?
I'm little bit confused here.
 
Is it happening on wi-fi too?
Have you tried opening the image is default browser?
I have never faced this issue on email app as I'm always on 3G.
