Help No picture when video plays

I just started using a Lenovo S8 Tab, and tried downloading a couple of movies from the Play Store to watch on a flight tomorrow. When I play the videos in the 'Play Movies & TV' app, I'm getting the sound through okay, but the picture flashes up on screen for a split second before going completely black. Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

That's definitely not normal behavior, but sounds like it may be related to an update gone bad. Try one of the following:

1. Goto Settings > Manage apps and Clear Cache and Data for the app. This will erase any configuration options you made, so check them first.
2. Goto Settings > Manage apps and Uninstall updates (if any). If that gets it working, you can stop there or try updating again from Google Play store.
