No 'Select All' on Gmail app?

Am I missing something or can you not 'select all' in the Gmail application?

Now that you mention it, i just noticed. But since that I only noticed it now, means that its not useful to me. However it may be useful to know in the long run, so I'll be waiting for an answer too.

It'd just be so handy to be able to select all emails in the spam or recycle bin and delete them...
