Help No service/memory card input

So my phone has been doing this a lot lately and it's driving me crazy! Where the bars for service are, there won't be any and there will be a little red circle with a line through it even though I know I should have service. Then right next to it is a little icon of my memory card, again with a red circle on it. My phone will completely randomly do this and I don't know why. I have to restart my phone to get rid of it, and when I do that, I have like 3 bars so I know I should have service.... Any idea on what's up with my phone?

Check the door on the bottom left of the phone that houses your memory card and sim card, if it gets pushed just enuff it could become slightly ajar, and would cause this type of problem!

You can try to re-set your SIM card and see if that makes any difference. If not, then I would go to Verizon and ask for another SIM card.

Oh ok cool! How do I refresh it? Is it like formatting a memory card?

Turn off your phone. Remove the SIM card, then re-install it and power up the phone. Just resetting the phone does not clear any problem that may be in the SIM card.
