Help No SIM Error on ZTE Max. Need help solving this issue.

About a month ago I picked up the ZTE Max from a friend and had the phone factory reset. Ordered a new SIM through Boost and had my number transferred over. Phone isn't reading the sim. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Does it read other SIMs (e.g. your friend's)? Are you on the same carrier, and if not are you sure the phone is not locked to your friend's carrier?

What am I looking for? This is my first post so I am not too knowledgeable in the lingo.

The simplest way to find out whether a phone is locked is to stick a different carrier's SIM in it. But that doesn't seem to be the issue because you are on Boost also.

Tried the SIM in another Sprint phone. A Motorola Moto. SIM registers and is acknowledged.

So the SIM works in other phones and the phone works with other SIMs, it's just the 2 of them together don't work.

Do Boost have stores? (I'm European, so don't know). If so I'd be tempted to go into one and speak to someone. If the phone works with other Boost SIMs then getting the SIM swapped sounds worth a try to me.

Might have to order a new one through customer service. They do not carry the SIM in the store. Ordered over the phone.
