no sim issue

Hi, i'm new user. I rooted my galaxy y,a day later i resetted phone.after than i lost connection, no sim inserte issue, while checking *#06# imei shows nothing. please...! help me to recover connection.

It may not be the result of rooting your phone but a hardware issue. Try taking the sim out and check to see if it's dirty. Also if you've had the sim card out of the phone recently it's always a good idea to double check that it's in properly. Some phones will allow you to insert the sim upside down. As a result this will give you a no sim error.
