There is probably a simple solution but I am stumped. I noticed this morning that my sound does not play back on media like Voice Recorder and youtube videos. It is as though there is an over all mute setting somewhere for my media playback and I haven't a clue where to find it. I noticed it 1st on my recordings on Voice Recorder which is why I chose that heading/category, but the problem is across the board. In my sound settings under Volume I do notice something different: my media volume setting now has an orange range just above mid-way on the volume status bar. In other words, if I adjust the media volume above that point, the whole bar changes orange, below that point it is blue like all of the others. Regardless, audio does not play back in either range (blue or orange). Sound mode is set to "sound." Have tried restarting device to no avail. Thanks in advance for any help.
***Update: I also cannot hear people when they call. This has become a pretty big problem now as this device doubles as my business phone.
Was just encouraged to back up phone and do a factory reset by provider's customer service. Joy. So I guess we'll call this closed.
