No sound preview

Something changed recently, causing me to lose the sound preview you normally get when choosing a Notification, Ringtone or Alarm sound file. Checked that system sounds are turned up. The sound selection page is different than it used to be, almost like it's being controlled by a different app. Not sure if an Android system update has done it, or a setting I changed by mistake? I looked at my installed audio apps but see nothing like it. I'm on 7.1.1. This has always worked previously. The selected sound does play when it should. Here's a screen capture video (can't get sounds) showing what it looks like

I'd first go to Settings > Apps > (menu) > Reset app preferences. This will reset any apps you may have inadvertently chosen to use as the default, which might be overriding the system ringtone picker.

Let me know if that doesn't help and we can figure out what else to try.

OK, followed your directions. Found out somehow I had gotten the default switched from Android Media Storage to ES File Explorer which doesn't support sound previews. Changed back to Media Storage and sound previews are working again. I just need to move my personal sound clips over to the Android ringtone, notification and alarm sound folders. You can't choose other folders when using the settings sound menu.
