Help No text messaging on SGS after Froyo update

Yesterday I updated my SGS on T-Mobile to Froyo 2.2.
Everything seems to work O.K except when I launch the text messaging app I get a dialogue box come up saying " Sorry The application Messaging ( process com. android. mms ) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Is this a problem with my SGS or with the T-Mobile network ?

Have you tried a factory reset? Most problems after upgrading are solved by a "Factory Reset".

If that doesn't work please check your APN settings, you should be able to get the correct settings from the T-mobile web site.

I had the same problem, only fix I found was a factory reset sorry!

hey,

Had same issue and i just shut phone down then back up and tried txt messaging again and then it will kill the msg proccess then kill the OS... lucky you factory reset after you got the first error. Not so lucky for me now phone is bricked and sent away fro repair.

I didn't want to go down the factory reset route, because I knew I'd probably lose my Copilot satnav software, so I phoned Samsung UK who advised me to take it to a Samsung service centre, which I did. They did correct the fault, and I was able to re-install the Copilot operating system, and everything now works OK.
