No update as yet

Was on developer preview but unenrolled. Still on December 5th patch and phone says it is up to date. Am in UK on O2. Has anyone else not had patch through as yet? Was reason I got pixel 2 xl so I could get timely updates but patches have been late before which is why I went onto beta.

Quite annoying that patch has been out a while and no update has arrived.

Apparently some people have had issues with side loaded patch over OTA.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately things don't always seem to get back on track after unenrolling from the beta program. Your best bet would likely be to sideload the January OTA, which does include a build specific to O2 in the UK (OPM1.171019.014) :

I'm on Verizon and haven't received it either. Anybody else on Verizon get it yet?

The update was only released 4 days ago. The way it works is that for the first day or two they only release it at random to a very small fraction of devices (I think it checks on boot, and at present pressing "check for updates" doesn't actually change anything). After that the fraction increases, but still remains small for another couple of days. It's only after that, if no unexpected issues have emerged, that it's rolled out to all devices. It's done this way in case there is a problem they didn't spot in testing (better to pull the update before it goes to everyone in that case).

I got it yesterday, but from what I know of how it works there was an element of luck in that. If it takes weeks then there's a problem, but most will not get it for several days after the update is released.

I finally got my Verizon update yesterday afternoon as well.

I'm familiar with the tiered roll-out, however, I was just curious if any Verizon devices had received it since there was an issue with side loading it and Verizon may have used that as a reason to delay.

After having Galaxy phones (which were great phones) for the past couple years and waiting an eternity from Samsung/Verizon to get updates, I'm ecstatic about getting updates in less than a week with my Pixel phone. It's like going from dial-up to broadband...it would be hard to go back to Samsung/Verizon unless they make some serious changes.

Kinda funny you mention that - both myself and a friend are on Fi, and have not received the update for our Taimens. His g/f's Taimen, on VZW, received it last week....
